Studio international
An illustrated art periodical begun in London in 1893 and continued by Cory, Adams & Mackay, reporting on painting, design and decorative arts for artists, craftworkers and collectors. Most plates are soft-grey halftone reproductions of paintings and drawings — misty river banks, spreading trees, seaside crowds, women on garden terraces — useful as tonal backgrounds, atmospheric landscape stock and period figure groups.
