The Sunlight book of knitting and crocheting
A 1915 instruction manual of knitting and crochet patterns edited by Adelaide J. Gray and published in Chicago by W.G. Perry, issued to promote Sunlight Yarns to home needleworkers. The 136 halftone plates show swatches and finished garments photographed against black grounds, with needles and hooks still in the work, giving usable close-up stitch textures and period garment silhouettes.
