Tests of the pumps and wells of the University of Illinois
An undergraduate engineering thesis by John Edwin Lewis and Raymond Thomas Reilly, submitted at the University of Illinois in 1914, reporting tests on the campus wells and pumping machinery. Its plates are hand-drawn curves inked onto printed orange grid paper, with hand-lettered titles set at angles, calibration and displacement curves in black and red, and small circle plot points along drooping or S-shaped lines.
