The Curtiss Aviation Book
An account of early flight by aviator Glenn H. Curtiss and Augustus Post, published in 1912 for American readers following the first decade of powered aeroplanes. Halftone photographs, often stacked two or three to a plate, show biplanes on grass fields, hydroplanes on lake water, launch trestles, and pilots at exposed controls, useful for period aircraft silhouettes and soft grey documentary textures.
