5 HIS fort takes its name from an ancient family called the Eoghanachtor sept of Eoghan, a name, in its Anglicised form of Oonacht, stillborne by the townland in which the fort is situated in the Greater Islandof Aran. It is built on the summit of a height which at the north Plate VII. *
