THE VARNEY HOUSE, DOVER, N. H. This very old house built by Ebenezer Varncy in M9«, stands near the foot of Garrison Hill and is qaitea large building, i t the time of its erection there were not enough men in Dover to raise the frame and otherscame in boats from Portsmouth to help.
