Airco welding of locomotive fireboxes
A 1919 trade manual issued by the Air Reduction Sales Company of New York instructing railroad shop foremen and oxyacetylene welders in repairing cracked locomotive fireboxes. Ink line diagrams show hatched steel plates gridded with rivet and stay-bolt holes, numbered weld sequences traced along cracks, and beveled seam cross-sections with angle and thickness dimensions, useful as sources of dotted grids, isometric plate corners, and annotated figure blocks.
