A monthly trade journal for architects, engineers and builders on the Pacific Coast, published in San Francisco from 1905 and filled with project reports, credited building photographs and construction advertising. The plates are halftone exterior and interior views of California houses, college halls, clubhouses and terraces, each captioned with client, town and architect, giving designers period stucco and shingle facades, pergolas and garden steps, and set-in-type caption lines.
