Byzantine and Romanesque architecture
A two-volume architectural history of Byzantine and Romanesque building by the English architect T. G. Jackson, published by Cambridge University Press in 1913 for architects, students and antiquarians. The plates include Jackson's own signed and dated pencil sketches of churches and towers, here a Roman campanile with tiers of arcaded windows rising beside blank plastered walls, offering loose line work, brick coursing patterns and arcade motifs for reuse.
