Practical calculation of dynamo-electric machines; a manual for electrical and mechanical engineers and a text-book for students of electrical engineering: continuous current machinery;
A 1902 New York engineering manual by Alfred Eugene Wiener on calculating direct-current dynamo-electric machines, issued by Electrical World and Engineer for practicing electrical and mechanical engineers and engineering students. The plates are hard-line technical drawings: sectioned field-magnet frames, bipolar and multipolar flux paths with arrowed field lines, scaled elevations of armature cylinders, and winding schematics set among numbered formulas, useful as diagram vocabulary, arrow and hatching patterns, and scale-bar detail.
