Mathematical recreations and essays
W. W. Rouse Ball's Mathematical recreations and essays, a collection of puzzles, geometric paradoxes, magic squares, ciphers and famous problems, issued by Macmillan in London in 1922 for general readers and students. The line figures are plain black diagrams: lettered points, dissected squares, dotted construction lines and skewed polygons, usable as spare geometric motifs or diagram-style ornament.
