The Tuscan & Venetian artists, their thought & work
A survey of Italian Renaissance painting written by Hope Rea and published by J. M. Dent in London in 1904 for general readers and art students. The 38 plates are dark halftone photographs of frescoes and panel paintings, showing Last Judgment lunettes packed with small nude figures, arched Crucifixion and Last Supper compositions, and inscribed architectural frames useful for silhouettes, crowd patterns and arch-shaped layouts.
