Design of a highway bridge
A 1910 civil engineering thesis by John Blanton Dabney at the University of Illinois, working out the design of a highway bridge for faculty examiners. Its plates are hand-inked drafting sheets: beam sections, rivet patterns, load diagrams with arrow trains, and abutment blocks, annotated in red and black with dimension strings designers can lift as line-art and technical lettering.
