Design of a reinforced-concrete highway bridge
A 1913 civil engineering thesis by Herbert Christian Petersen at the University of Illinois, working out the design of a reinforced-concrete highway bridge for faculty examiners. Its plates are hand-drafted ink drawings on gridded paper: abutment sections with dimension strings and reinforcing-bar notes, truss and stream-bed profiles, and pier plans of nested outlines and hatched pile fields.
