A German pharmacy training manual by Oscar Schlickum, published in Leipzig in 1884 to prepare apothecary apprentices for their assistant examinations in chemistry, physics and botany. Small wood-engraved text figures show medicinal plants in habit, with enlarged flowers, seeds and dissected ovaries in cross-section; useful for line-based botanical spot illustrations and anatomical cutaway diagrams.
