Discourses on architecture
Eugène-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc's lectures on architecture, translated by Henry Van Brunt and published in Boston in 1875 for American architects and builders. The wood-engraved figures analyse medieval and classical construction: pier clusters, foliate capitals, moulding profiles, and sectional elevations overlaid with dotted geometric construction lines, giving designers clean line diagrams, keyed letters, and hatched stonework to reuse.
