The dyeing of textile fabrics
A technical manual on dyeing textile fabrics written by J. J. Hummel and published by Cassell in London in 1885 for dyers, textile manufacturers, and technical-school students. The plates are wood-engraved sectional diagrams of dye vats, centrifugal hydro-extractors, drying cylinders, and belt-driven machinery, drawn with lettered keys, hatched masonry and floor lines, and cutaway tanks, useful for line-art machine profiles, cross-section hatching patterns, and diagram lettering.
