The English chapter-house
An architecture thesis submitted by Albert Charles Phelps in 1903, studying the chapter-houses of English cathedrals and monasteries, typed on plain sheets with photographic plates pasted in. The illustrations are cyanotype prints in deep Prussian blue of vaulted interiors, ribbed ceilings, tracery windows and ground plans, several faded or reversed, each mounted with a typewritten caption underneath.
