Exercises in physical measurement
A laboratory manual of physics exercises by Louis W. Austin and Charles B. Thwing, published by Allyn and Bacon in Boston in 1896 for college students doing measurement work. The line engravings are stripped-down apparatus and circuit diagrams — galvanometers, magnetometer coils, bridge wires, telescopes on stands — drawn as thin uniform outlines with single-letter labels, useful as schematic marks and technical ornament.
