Hunting of synchronous machines
A 1912 engineering thesis by William Fred Schaller at the University of Illinois on hunting in synchronous machines, submitted for an electrical engineering degree. Its plates are hand-drawn ink curves on printed graph paper — saturation curves, damping and amortisseur loss plots, vector diagrams — with hand-lettered labels and data tables, useful as technical drawing texture, grid backgrounds, and period draughtsman lettering.
