International studio
International Studio was a monthly art magazine issued in New York from 1897 as the American edition of London's The Studio, addressed to painters, collectors, architects and decorative designers. Plates are coarse-screen halftones of contemporary paintings and portraits alongside line etchings: rainy street scenes with carriages, dim interiors lit from one window, a woman in black against a bare wall, and cityscapes of crowded rooftops.
