Newton's principia, first book sections I, II, III, with notes and illustrations and a collection of problems, principally intended as examples of Newton's methods
An annotated student edition of the first three sections of Newton's Principia, edited by Percival Frost and published by Macmillan in London in 1900 for university mathematics students working through Newton's geometrical methods. The eighty figures are fine-line geometrical diagrams — conic arcs, tangents, chords and radiating construction lines with italic letter labels — printed black on toned paper, useful as spare linear motifs, orbital curves, or abstract patterns of intersecting rays.
