Questions and answers on pumps and pumping machinery
A 1912 question-and-answer technical manual by William Henry Wakeman, published in Chicago by Joseph G. Branch for steam engineers, pump operators and men studying for license examinations. The plates are line engravings of pumps and their parts — duplex steam pumps in elevation, valve chambers and cylinders in hatched section, levers, rods, flanged bodies and bolt circles — usable as hard-edged mechanical silhouettes, cutaway hatch patterns and repeating bolt-and-flange details.
