The Röntgen rays in medical work
A clinical manual on X-ray practice by David Walsh, published in New York by William Wood in 1907 for physicians and radiographers learning the new imaging technique. The plates are halftone reproductions of early radiographs — limb bones, joints and fractures as soft grey shadows on cream grounds, with blurred edges and grain useful as texture, silhouette, or ghosted anatomical form.
