Some evolutions in the kindergarten work
A short 1903 pedagogical pamphlet by Elizabeth Harrison, a Chicago kindergarten trainer, setting out Froebelian block exercises for teachers of young children. The plates are fine-line engravings of wooden gift blocks stacked into towers, arcades and spiral steps, drawn in axonometric view with dense parallel hatching and cast shadows — a ready stock of geometric solids, arch forms and shading textures.
