Studio international
The Studio, an illustrated art magazine begun in London in 1893 and continued by Cory, Adams & Mackay for artists, designers and collectors of contemporary painting and applied art. Its plates are halftone reproductions of paintings and drawings — hazy trees, rock faces, coastal figures, farm buildings — printed in soft grey tones useful as atmospheric backgrounds, texture fills and period landscape stock.
