A text-book of physics, largely experimental. On the Harvard college "Descriptive list of elementary physical experiments."
A secondary-school and college physics textbook by Harvard's Edwin H. Hall and Joseph Y. Bergen, published by Henry Holt in New York in 1891 and built around the Harvard "Descriptive list of elementary physical experiments" for classroom laboratory work. The 131 figures are line-engraved diagrams: magnetic field lines drawn as dashed loops around lettered poles, ray-tracing schematics with arrows and mirrors, and cutaway views of coils, magnets and apparatus, useful as annotated technical linework and letter-keyed schematic motifs.
