A 1922 technical manual on textile manufacture by A. F. Barker, Walter M. Gardner and collaborators, issued in New York by D. Van Nostrand for students and mill practitioners. The plates are plain line engravings of drafting rollers, belt-and-pulley drives, gear trains and spindle assemblies, plus hatched circular sections showing yarn twist direction, offering designers clean mechanical schematics and repeating ruled-line fill patterns.
