Treatise on the steam engine
An 1839 technical treatise by James Renwick, published in New York by Carvill & Co. for engineering students and mechanics learning steam power. The 45 figures are line-engraved sectional and elevation diagrams of cylinders, valve gear, boilers and pumps, hatched and lettered with reference keys, usable as cutaway mechanical motifs, hatch-shading patterns, and small labelled apparatus vignettes.
