Upholstery, with numerous engravings and diagrams;
A practical upholstery handbook edited by Paul N. Hasluck and published by D. McKay in Philadelphia in 1904, written for tradesmen and home craftsmen learning to stuff, cover and finish furniture. The 82 line engravings are working diagrams — chair and stool frames, turned legs, webbing and scrim stretched in frames, cushions in section — drawn with hatched wood grain, dotted stitch lines and cutaways useful as instructional-diagram stock, furniture silhouettes and texture fills.
