Views : with ground plans of the Highland cottages at Roxbury (near Boston)
An 1845 Boston pattern book by developer William Bailey Lang, presenting lithographed views and ground plans of his Highland cottages at Roxbury to prospective suburban house builders. The plates are soft-pencil lithographs of gabled Gothic Revival cottages with bargeboards, trellised porches and vine-covered doorways, set among trees, with paired ground plans useful for period architectural line work and ornament.
