Windows; a book about stained & painted glass
A survey of stained and painted glass by the English designer and writer Lewis Foreman Day, published by B. T. Batsford in London in 1897 for craftsmen, architects and design students. The plates are wood-engraved reproductions of window panels in stark black and cream, showing leading and iron bars as heavy grids over grisaille foliage, scrollwork, quarries and geometric diaper, useful as high-contrast repeat patterns, border strips and lattice structures.
