Aims and ideals in art : eight lectures delivered to the students of the Royal academy
Eight lectures on painting and drawing given by George Clausen to Royal Academy students, published in London by Methuen in 1906 for art students and teachers. The plates are halftone reproductions of old master drawings and paintings, chiefly Rembrandt pen-and-wash interiors, figure groups and landscape studies, useful for loose ink hatching, brush-laid tonal washes and sketched figures.
