The Architect
A monthly architectural trade journal issued in San Francisco from 1905 by the Architect and Engineer Co. for West Coast architects, engineers and builders. Coarse halftone photographs and pen perspective renderings show commercial blocks, hotels and houses head-on or at a corner, with heavy cornices, bay windows and rusticated bases; useful for facade silhouettes, window grids and grainy black-and-white texture.
