A monthly trade journal issued from San Francisco beginning in 1905 by the Architect and Engineer Co. for West Coast architects, engineers and builders. Halftone photographs and pen-and-ink renderings show commercial blocks, warehouses and houses seen from the street, with horse traffic, sidewalk figures and cornice and window-grid detail worth lifting as facade patterns and period textures.
