The Architect & engineer of California and the Pacific Coast
A monthly trade journal for architects, engineers and builders on the Pacific Coast, issued in San Francisco by the Architect and Engineer Co. from 1905. Its plates are halftone photographs of California buildings — stucco and brick libraries, apartment blocks, bungalows, arcaded porches — shot in flat daylight against oaks and lawns, alongside floor plans, elevations and construction details useful for period façades, window grids and architectural line work.
