Architect and engineer
A monthly architectural trade journal published in San Francisco from 1905, carrying project photographs, plans and technical articles for West Coast architects, engineers and builders. The plates are sepia halftone photographs of houses and civic buildings — stucco walls, arched loggias, multi-paned casement windows, tiled cornices — with engraved credit lines naming architect and town, giving designers period photographic texture and Mediterranean Revival facade detail.
