Georges Perrot and Charles Chipiez's two-volume survey of Egyptian architecture, sculpture and painting, translated by Walter Armstrong and published in London in 1883 for students, architects and museum readers. Line engravings record columns, capitals, pylons and tomb interiors in measured elevation and section, alongside hieroglyphic wall registers, seated scribe statues and winged-disc lintels drawn in fine outline with hatched shading.
