Artist and public, and other essays on art subjects
Essays on painting, mural decoration and criticism by the American painter Kenyon Cox, issued in London by George Allen & Unwin in 1914 for readers and students of art. The 32 plates are halftone reproductions of Renaissance wall paintings, mostly Raphael's Vatican Stanze, showing lunette compositions framed by arches and window openings, with crowded figure groups and deep architectural perspectives usable as composition diagrams.
