Canadian wood products industries
A Canadian trade journal for the furniture and woodworking industries, published by Southam-MacLean in Ontario from 1916 and read by mill owners, machinists and factory buyers. The plates are halftone photographs of woodworking machinery - sanders, planers, jointers and gear-driven presses - shot in profile against plain grounds, often circled or cropped into advertisements with arrows marking belt direction, giving designers cast-iron frames, spoked gears and pulleys in coarse grainy dot screens.
