The cathedrals of Great Britain, their history and architecture;
A 1904 guide to British cathedrals by the Berkshire clergyman-antiquary P. H. Ditchfield, issued in London by J. M. Dent and in Philadelphia by Lippincott for travellers and church-architecture enthusiasts. The plates are loose pen-and-ink interior views of naves, triforia, Romanesque doorways, font canopies and clustered piers, drawn with hatched shadow and open white stonework, useful for vaulting patterns, capital details and arch silhouettes.
