The microscope; an introduction to the microscopic methods and to histology
A laboratory manual on microscope optics and histological technique by Cornell anatomist Simon Henry Gage, published in Ithaca, New York, in 1911 for students and working microscopists. The plates are engraved and halftone views of stands, objectives, condensers and dissecting apparatus, many with leader lines and numbered parts, plus optical ray diagrams and mounted-specimen figures, giving designers instrument silhouettes, brass-and-iron shading, and labelled technical schematics.
