Experiments on the rate of heat transfer from a hot gas to a cooler metallic surface
An engineering research report issued by the Babcock & Wilcox Company in New York in 1916, recording heat-transfer experiments for boiler makers and steam engineers. Plates are fine-ruled graph sheets carrying single plotted curves, scattered data points, boxed handwritten-style captions and formulae, plus line diagrams of jacketed test tubing with thermocouples and labelled inlets, useful as grid textures and technical line work.
