Stereotomy
A 1913 engineering textbook on stereotomy—the cutting of stone for masonry—by Arthur Willard French and Howard Chapin Ives, published by Wiley in New York for civil engineering students. Plates mix hatched sections of walls and voussoir arches with line-ruled projection diagrams of lettered points and halftones of cut stone blocks, giving designers masonry coursing patterns, geometric construction layouts, and labelled technical keys.
