Notes on Irish architecture
An antiquarian survey of early Irish churches and round towers compiled by the Earl of Dunraven and edited after his death by Margaret Stokes, published in London by G. Bell and Sons in 1875 for antiquaries and architects. Mounted albumen photographs, tipped in one to a page, record round towers in open country, rubble and ashlar walls, round-arched doorways, paired windows and dim stone interiors in soft brown tones.
