Laboratory exercises in physics for secondary schools
A physics laboratory manual by George Ransom Twiss, published in Chicago by Scott, Foresman in 1906 for secondary-school students and their teachers. The 43 line engravings show benchtop apparatus — spring scales, clamped blocks, lens and mirror stands, coiled springs, lettered thumbscrews — drawn in thin outline with light hatching and generous white space, useful as diagram vocabulary, instrument silhouettes, and labelled schematic parts.
