Pocket-book of mechanics and engineering
A pocket reference of formulas, tables and rules for mechanics and engineering compiled by John W. Nystrom and published by J.B. Lippincott in Philadelphia in 1864, for working engineers, machinists and students. The 218 figures are small letterpress wood engravings: geometric areas filled with fine diagonal hatching, labelled radii and heights, projectile and curve diagrams in dashed line, plus gearing and structural sketches useful as hatch textures, diagram vocabulary and annotated line-art fragments.
