A technical manual on hand and power loom weaving by George White, published in Glasgow by J. Niven in 1846 for mill manufacturers and loom engineers. The plates are line-engraved and wood-engraved machine diagrams, mostly front and side elevations of loom frames with lettered parts, gear trains, shafts, treadles and cams, giving designers keyed mechanical drawings, thin rule-work and repeating grids of uprights and wheels.
