The Roentgen rays in medicine and surgery as an aid in diagnosis and as a therapeutic agent : designed for the use of practitioners and students
A clinical manual on X-ray diagnosis and treatment by Boston physician Francis H. Williams, published by Macmillan in New York in 1901 for practicing doctors and medical students. The plates are early radiographs of limbs, joints, chests and foreign bodies: soft grey halftones of bone shafts fading into fogged fields, useful as tonal gradients, silhouette forms and grain texture.
