A text book of elementary mechanics, for the use of colleges and schools
A college and secondary-school textbook of elementary mechanics by mineralogist Edward Salisbury Dana, published by John Wiley & Sons in New York in 1881. The 112 wood-engraved figures are line diagrams — inclined planes, force arrows with italic letter labels, levers, pulleys and beams — with hatched blocks and dotted construction lines, usable as spare geometric marks and arrow vocabulary.
